Another day on the streets with the GFX 50R & Nikkor ais 28mm f2

Workers on Bamboo scaffolding.

The brick like 50r is an amazing camera even in 2024. Sure there are many newer gfx models that have been released since then, but this lovely work horse is all I ever need as an enthusiast.

Boarding the Tour bus.

It has not been my first option for street photography due to its rather significant lag time from the click of the shutter to the time the image is taken as compared to the Leica 10P which I am so used to. And not to mention that super loud shutter, definitely can’t hide that.

However, this month of October I am taking the effort to use it as my daily carry around camera, and this set of photos were made with the 28mm f2 ais nikkor on a dumb adaptor.

Smoking corner.

This combination does have minimal vignetting and it can be easily corrected in post.

Wheelchair bound and helper.
Street cobbler.
Random tourist.

Quite happy with how this lens perform on this larger sensor. Shall see what other moments I can capture in the days to come.

If you have enjoyed the photos, I invite you to support my journey. I document daily life and its people and would greatly appreciate if you would click below. A small token from you will go a long way!
